"Republican McCain, same as George Bush"

Obama's attack line should be something as simple as "My Republican Opponent, John McCain is same as George Bush"

Have this in every Town Hall
Put it at the end of every Ad
Use it as daily talking point

Just pond on it the McCain is the Republican opponent and his regime would be same as George Bush's.

If it's not Hillary or Biden Obama better prepare for Incoming

I think Hillary and Biden both would be solid choices at this point, particularly given the rumored short list.

I'd love to be proven wrong and have either Webb, Clark or even Sherrod Brown instead.

However, given the short list Bayh is so awful, that it's rumored he was only mentioned to make other candidates seem better.

Kaine is not even that popular anymore in his home state and would have to be introduced with Obama to the country at the same time.

Sebelius would be okay if she could get a speaking class, but if she's the pick Obama should have introduced her long ago and sent her on an overseas trip.

Hillary or Biden would be fine.  Obama either needs an attack dog or someone who can hold their own on the economy.

Hillary would be a great headfake/manipulation of the media...

Please Support Healthcare Hero Debbie Cook (CA-46)

The California Nurses Association/National Nurses Organizing Committee and our allies at the Leadership Conference on Guaranteed Healthcare are debuting a new feature: The Healthcare Heroes Caucus, which will honor candidates who are running on a platform of supporting HR 676, John Conyers' bill for an expanded and improved Medicare for All.

We will highlight the stories of these healthcare heroes, and work to get them the attention and support they need.  It's not always easy to run in the face of insurance companies and a sold-out political culture...but it is smart.  Poll after poll shows the American people are open to an expanded and improved Medicare for All, and are desperate for the kind of solutions that will improve care while saving money.

Debbie Cook is our first Healthcare Hero candidate and she's a great one.  She is a committed progressive running in CA-46, an Orange County California district that is ready to toss out libertarian radical Dana Rohrbacher and elect a real leader.

Progressive Patriots Fund

Cross-posted at Clintonistas for Obama.

Senator Russ Feingold's Political Action Committe, the Progressive Patriot's Fund is planning a $5000 donation to one of nine house candidates and you have the opportunity to help choose the recipient. Click here to go to the website and cast your vote.

I think Obama should pick either Hillary or Jim Webb!

I say that because they are the only ones with balls. Solid steel balls. For those newbies Hillary was tested during Bill's impeachment and she is really a very strong person.

I think they are the only ones who are really capable of carrying the electorate. I say that because they are the only ones capable of beating the shit out of McCain.

What is wrong with you people you want Biden, Bayh or Sebelius?
LOL

If you have seen how Hillary campaigned in states like PA, KY and WV when she knew even her best effort would still lose her the nomination, how could you recommend Obama nominate Biden, Bayh, kain or Sebelius.

I think Hillary and Webb or the two real fighters in the Democratic Party. For the VP spot we really need a fighter. Do you guys remember the way Webb confronted Bush. I know of nobody who did that.

I am a Hillary supporter but I would be happy with Hillary or Webb.

RCP Electoral Map: McCain by 10

The latest numbers from Indiana were just released by SurveyUSA. McCain now has a solid 6 point lead (a 7 point change over a 60 day period).

McCain is now projected by RCP to win the electoral college by 10.

Nader: It's Hillary

Don't bother asking me how he knows, or thinks he knows, but Ralph Nader is quoted in the Politico as saying that Hillary Clinton will take the Vice Presidential spot.

Warner/Kaine switcheroo?

Tim Kaine looks to me like the 3rd best potential VP choice from Virginia.  While I like the idea of picking someone from the state and the fact that he's been a governor rather than a  20-year Senator, it seems that he's had a lackluster term in the state and doesn't bring much to the ticket.

The best choice to me looks to be Mark Warner, but there is the big complication of forfeiting the Senate seat that it appears he will win in a walk.

My question for Virginians: What is the process for replacing a Senate nominee?  Is it possible to tab Warner for VP and have Kaine jump into the Senate race?  Kaine wouldn't win by the margin that Warner would, but Gilmore appears to be unpopular and the presidential ticket could probably drag him over the finish line.  Is it doable?
